John F. Sanders, age 85, of Troy, OH passed away on August 14, 2024 at SpringMeade Health Center in Tipp City, OH. He was born on February 11, 1939 in Troy to the late Albert and Dorothy (Brosius) Sanders.

John is survived by his wife of 48 years: Lucy Grimes Sanders; sons: John Prescott (Sara) Sanders and their children: Madeline and Topher; and Kyle A. (Lauren) Sanders and their children: Cora, William, Elizabeth and Charles, all of Indianapolis, IN and daughter from a previous marriage: Megan (Jeff) Brown of Columbus, OH and their children:  Kylei Brown and Tyler (Bailey) Brown.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter:  Kristin K. Sanders and infant sister.

John was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1957 and Ohio Wesleyan University.   He began work with Tilmany Corp. in Wisconsin.  He returned to the area to farm and work at the Miami Citizens National Bank.  Later, he and his wife owned and operated greenhouses for nearly 30 years.   John loved to build and play the mandolin. He loved bluegrass music.
