John David Rose ''DAVE'', 67, died at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio on Wednesday, October 23, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Geraldine ''Jerry'' Wright; children, Kellie and Mitch Mahaney, Mike and Shelly Rose, and Mark and Cyndi Rose; sister, Susan Aune; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; four grandchildren, Macklin, Karson, Morgan and Keegan. Mr.Rose was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest L. and Elizabeth Cousley Rose. He was a member of Fletcher United Methodist Church; served in the US Army, 82nd Airborn Division in the Korean War. He attended Purdue University. Mr. Rose was a retired paving contractor, played professional football for the Washington Redskins. He was a loving father and an avid sports fan. Visitation will be from 3-7 Friday, October 25, with a service at 10:00am Saturday, October 26 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio.
