John Steven Meyer, 47, of Fletcher, Ohio passed out of this life on Monday, January 31, 2005 at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio after an extended illness. He was born on July 31, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Lela Berry Meyer. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Wojdan Meyer and their two children; daughter and son-in-law; Elizabeth & Matthew McAdams of Piqua, Ohio and Ryan Meyer of Vandalia, Ohio. They also have one granddaughter, Cyrena McAdams. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Raymond; Richard and Dennis Meyer. He was a member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church, Fletcher, Ohio. He recieved a Bachelors Degree in Rehabilitation from the University of Dayton and a Masters Degree in Education from Wright State University. He was a former teacher with the Troy City Schools; and he was a Special Education Teacher with Keifer Alternative School in Springfield, Ohio. Visitation will be at Baird Funeral Home, Troy on Friday, February 4, 2005 from 2-4PM & 6-8PM. Services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 11:00AM at the Greene Street United Methodist Church, Piqua, Ohio. The Rev. Leland Brehm will be officiating the service with burial in Fletcher Cemetery.
