John Allen Markley John Allen Markley, age 91, of Georgetown, KY, passed away on Monday July 21, 2008 at his residence. He was born March 13, 1917, in Bracken County, KY, to the late Lee O. and Mary McMath Markley. He married Lillian Westfall Markley on June 6, 1942, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Lillian, Mr. Markley is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert A. and Carol Markley of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Bruce Edward and Kathy Markley of Georgetown, Kentucky; one daughter and son-in-law: Marilyn and Bruce Buddenhagen of Kokomo, IN; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Ora Lee Miller of Coventry Village, Plantation, FL and Ruth and Armand Tremblay of Bedford, Texas; five grandchildren: Angela Kincaid, Ashley Sheets, Amber Markley, Evan and Ella Markley; and two great-grandchildren: Madison Kincaid and Kayla Kincaid. In addition to his parents, Mr. Markley was preceded in death by one son, William Ray Markley; two brothers: Carson and Matthew Markley; and two sisters: Alice Bailey and Wilma Jones. He was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1935. Mr. Markley was a former member of Grace Baptist Church, Troy, Ohio and more recently a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church, Georgetown, Kentucky. He was the owner of Markley's Market in Troy, Ohio for 44 years before he sold the store in 1985. Services will be held at 7:00PM Friday, July 25, 2008, at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio, with Rev. Richard A. Weekley officiating. Private interment will take place at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, OH. Friends may call from 5-7PM Friday at the funeral home.
