John Leroy Kinnison, 80, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022. He was born in Montgomery County, Ohio, on February 9, 1942, to the late Leroy James Kinnison and Alice Sylvia Pfoutz. He married Veda Pauline Lee on April 8, 1961.

John is survived by his wife Veda Kinnison, brothers Ron Kinnison and Rick Kinnison (Teresa), and a sister Cindy Kley (John). He is survived by his son Kevin Kinnison (Melissa) and his daughter-in-law Stacey Kinnison. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Dani Kinnison, Rebecca Jacobs (Kou), Brad Kinnison (Delaina), Michaela Virden (Jonathan), Jonathon Kinnison, Victoria Kinnison and Charlie Kinnison. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Marigold Virden, Verity Virden, Lantz Kinnison and Rush Kinnison. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Douglas Kinnison and his stepmother Dolores Kinnison.

John graduated from Bethel High School in 1960. He served in the US Army from 1960 to 1963, stationed in Fort Bragg, NC. He worked for BF Goodrich for 38 years. John was a member of the Troy Church of the Nazarene for almost 50 years. He loved his family and enjoyed attending the children and grandchildren's  ballgames, concerts and recitals.  He loved making people smile. He was a fan of OSU football, the Bengals and the Reds.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Troy Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Barnhart Road, Troy, Ohio. A graveside service will be held at Miami Memorial Park, Covington.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm on Monday at the church.
