John J. Jackson, 68, died in Zephyrhills, Florida on Friday, February 22, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mabel Boyer Jackson; sons and daughters-in-law, Dave and Chris Jackson; Ken and Sharla Cantwil and daughter, Pam Jackson; sister and brother-in-law, Glenna and Jack Grove, three grandchildren, Jennifer Jackson, Dustin and Brett Cantwil. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Pauline Eberwein Jackson, Sr. a sister, Jerry Jackson and a brother, Harold Jackson, Jr. Mr. Jackson was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War; member of Troy Fish and Game Club; Troy Eagles Lodge; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, Troy, OH; Vintage Car Club of America. He retired from General Motors Dayton, Ohio after 30 years of service. Visitation for Mr. Jackson will be at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio from 4-8 PM Wednesday, February 27; with services at Baird Funeral Home on Thursday, February 28 at 10:00 with Rev. John Shelton officiating. Loyal Order of Moose service will be at 7:00 Wednesday at Baird Funeral Home. Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio with VFW Honor Guard services at graveside. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the American Heart Association.
