John J. "Jack" Hufford John J. "Jack" Hufford, age 89, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2008, at his residence. He was born March 1, 1919 in Miami County, Ohio, to the late Robert S. and Bessie Swank Hufford. He was married to Jane Hollis Hufford who preceded him in death on January 22, 1994. He is survived by his brother, George Hufford of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters: Peggy Hancock of Troy and Carolyn Pointer of Pleasant Hill, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers and six sisters. Jack was a WWII US Army Veteran, member of VFW #5436, American Legion Post #43, Franklin Lodge #14 F&AM, the Troy Elks and a life member of the Troy Fish & Game. He was also the retired owner/operator of Dutch's Service Station in Troy. Service will be at 10:30AM Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio. Veterans Honor Guard Services will take place at the graveside. Friends may call from 5-8PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Canteen or Charity of Choice.
