John Glenn Honeyman, age 71, of Troy, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on October 12, 1952, in Troy, to the late Richard L. and Lucille (Lawrence) Honeyman.

John is survived by his wife of 33 years: Leslie (Blair) Honeyman; eight children: Sheila Honeyman, Joseph Johnson, Amy Roof, Shalamyree Honeyman, Shaylarenai Honeyman, Johnny Honeyman, Dayauhna Smith and Dajiah Smith; one sister: Marilyn Kay Bennett of Columbia, TN; 10 grandchildren: and 2 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard "Dickie" Honeyman and Dwight D. Honeyman; two sisters: Mary L. Heffner and Madona Crump; and one grandson: Dairius Honeyman.

John was a 1972 graduate of Troy High School.  He was a member of Troy Redmens.  John retired from ITW Hobart Brothers after over 30 years.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
