John Thomas Haines, 70, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on June 8, 2004 at 5:28am at the Harborside Health Care Center, Troy, Ohio. He was born on August 11, 1933 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Fredrick L. and Nora Weeks Haines, Sr. He is survived by four children, Stephen R. Haines of Troy, Ohio; Susan A. Williamson of Troy, Ohio; Sharry L. Knight of Troy, Ohio and Sarah M. Sebring of Piqua, Ohio. Also surviving are four sisters, Sarah H. Nordlinger; Geneva H. Green; Lora H. Rismiller and Margaret G. Haines all of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He also has six grandchildren, Lauren Haines; Michelle Centliver; Erica Williamson; Joseph Williamson; Katie Sebring and Tommy Sebring. Three great-grandchildren also survive. He was a veteran of the USAF during the Korean conflict; was a member of Amvets; Eagles; VFW and Elks. He worked as General Manager of John Meyer Buick-Pontiac and retired in 1988; and was owner operator of JH Auto Sales from 1989-2002. Pastor Tom Farrier will be officiating the service at Riverside Cemetery Chapel, Troy, Ohio.
