JOHN DESKINS

JOHN DESKINS, age 55, of Vandalia, OH passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Grandview Hospital, Dayton.  He was born on November 18, 1958 in Troy, OH to Mary (Blackburn) Brock of Troy and the late Oval Junior Deskins.

John is survived by one daughter:  Gelena Kay Deskins of Troy; sister and brother-in-law: Sandra and Paul Hartley of Piqua; one brother and sister-in-law: Bob and Roberta Deskins, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren: Tajven Deskins and Kyleah Merritt both at home and several nieces and nephews.  John was preceded in death by his father and one sister: Debra Ann Deskins.

John loved to play the guitar and sing.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  Friends may call from 1:00-2:00PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charity in John's memory.
