Joe William ''J.W.'' Dickerson, 66, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on January 1, 2004 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born on April 4, 1937 to the late Joseph Daniel and Zelma W. Schaefer Dickerson. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Glenna J. Hall Harnish Dickerson and 3 children, Daughter & Son-in-law: Brenda L. & Mark Bodenmiller of Casstown, Ohio; Jodi L. Dickerson of Troy, Ohio; and son & daughter-in-law: Joe W. & Tanya Dickerson II of Troy, Ohio. Also 7 grandchildren survive. He was a member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge; Antioch Shrine; Troy Fish & Game; BPOE # 833; Founder and member of WACA Historical Society; Kentucky Colonel; Miami County Historical & Genealogical Society; Founder and member of American Maine-Anjou Association and Ohio Mid-Eastern Maine-Anjou Association, where he held office and directorship in both. Member of the Piqua Rotary club; Miami County Farm Bureau; Past member of American Nurseyman Association and Ohio Auctioneers Association; Member of Pheasants Forever; Past Concord Twp. Trustee. He graduated from Troy High School in 1955; Ohio State University; B.S. in Horticultural, Department of Agriculture. He was self-employed as owner & president of J.W. Dickerson & Associates, conducting Nursery Auctions in 37 states and 3 provinces of Canada. He was Owner/Broker of Dickerson & Co. Realtors & Auctioneers in Troy. Rev. Sheila Shumaker will be officiating the service. Burial at Riverside Cemetery in Troy, Ohio. There will be Masonic Services and Elks Services at the funeral home on Monday, January 5, 2004 at 8:00PM.
