Jody L. Price, age 48, of Troy, went home to be with the Lord October 25, 2021. She was born September 18, 1973, in Monterey, CA. to Charles L. "Chuck" and Arlene (Woods) Price.

Jody is survived by her sister: Christy (Byron) Welsh of Troy; brothers: Jeremy Price of Sidney and Timothy (Andrea) Price of Montana; nieces: Lilly and Aria and nephew: Wyatt.

Jody received her master's in teaching from Mercy College in New York City. She was Co-founder and Director of Streams of Mercy Africa where together with her sister mentored and educated Kenyan orphans.  She taught English to elementary age children in Tokyo, Japan where she was published in an education journal.  She went on to teach 3rd grade in Harlem and the Bronx in New York City.  She used her time as a substitute teacher in Sidney, Ohio to educate children about the condition of orphaned children in Kenya and raised awareness and funds for their work in Africa.  She was a 4th and 5th grade teacher for Troy City Schools at Forest, Cookson, and Kyle Elementary.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Koinos Church, 722 Grant Street, Troy with interment to follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. Friends can call on the family from 4-7PM on Friday at Baird Funeral Home Troy, Ohio.
