It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our beloved Jody Lynn Mapes who left us unexpectedly at age 52 November 15 2024.

She is survived by her Dad Paul Thomas, daughter Kasey Marie Weisenbarger, sisters Brandy (Scot) Clifford, Janice Rudisill, Jen (Brian) Bowman, brother Keith (Karen) Januszak, and Fiancée/life partner Shane Fair

Along with Althea, Graham, and Maxwell, there are many nieces and nephews Jody loved and cared for.

Jody is preceded in death by her mother Susan (Brown) Thomas, Father Stephen (Vickie) Mapes, and Sister Cindy (Januszak) Steele

Jody received her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Wright State University.

Jody worked as a head start and elementary school teacher, and Customer Support Specialist.  She was a Girl Scout Troop leader for over 10 years.  She treasured her time spent with Kasey and friends on her annual ladies retreat with Christian Heritage Church.  Jody's selflessness, compassion and love will carry on in the lives of those she touched.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM, Friday, November 22, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  Family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
