JOAN N. MILLS

Joan N. Mills , age 87, of Troy, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH. She was born on July 30, 1926 in Oran, OH to the late John and Marjorie Short. She was married to Donald B. Mills, he preceded her in death in 1985.

Joan is survived by two sons: Steven (Jackie) Mills of South Carolina, John E. (Sandy) Mills of Covington; two daughters: Sue Mills of California, Karen Mills Green of Troy; one sister: Norma Jean Durnell of Sidney; fifteen grandchildren: Julie, Jennifer, Brian, Kassandra, Michelle, Jamie, Jessica, Jonathan, Matthew, Megan, Sara, Kate, Tammy, Blair and Michael; three step grandchildren: John Ruban, Samantha and Kelly; thirty three great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

Mrs. Mills was a sixty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #256. She was also active with the Board of Elections for many years. She retired in 1987 from Hobart Corporation.

Friends may call on the family from 4-7:30 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Baird Funeral Home . Funeral services will follow at 7:30 PM on Tuesday.
