Obituary

Rev. Jimmy D. Stepp, age 76, of West Milton, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital.  He was born on November 27, 1947 in Williamson, WV to the late Carlos and Juanita (Murphy) Stepp.

Jimmy is survived by his three sons: Steve (Melinda) Stepp of Ludlow Falls, Jimmy Stepp of West Milton and John (Christin) Stepp of Union; sister: Virginia Stepp of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren: Tiffany, Steven (Jen), Dustin, Alexis, Aaliyah and Micah; and two great grandchildren: Payton and Brody.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Gracie C. Stepp and siblings: Connie Cox, Helen Rawlins, Joyce O'Brien, Bob Stepp and Scottie Stepp.

Jimmy was a pastor of South Charleston Freewill Baptist Church and an active member of Troy Freewill Baptist Church. He was a man of faith and loved and praised the Lord. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.  He retired from Coate Concrete Products after 46 years of service.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Troy Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Dwight Stump officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
