JIMMY L. LEWIS, SR., age 69, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on November 10, 1951 in Troy to the late Estell and Norma (Shaffer) Lewis, Jr.

Jimmy is survived by three children: Jimmy L. Lewis, Jr. of Tipp City, Shawn (Christy) Lewis of Bradford and Bradley (Abbie) Lewis of Medway; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren, with another on the way.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Linda Scott.

Jimmy attended Miami East Schools.  He was a 50-year member of the US Trotting Association.  He spent his career training and racing horses.  Jimmy enjoyed gambling.

Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Family will greet friends from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
