Obituary

Jewell Campbell Wigdahl, 62, of Casstown, Ohio passed out of this life on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on February 15, 1942 in Rowdy, Kentucky to Willie and Polly Ann Hamilton Campbell. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Howard Wigdahl; their four children, Captain Alan J. Wigdahl of Edward's AFB, CA; Jeffrey H. Wigdahl of Casstown, Ohio; Captain Erick W. Stephanie Wigdahl of WPAFB, Ohio and Kimberly E. Wigdahl of St. Louis, MO. Also surviving is her mother, Polly Ann Hamilton Campbell of Georgetown, Kentucky; sister, Goldie A. Jones of Georgetown, Kentucky; brothers & Sisters-in-law; Omer & Lena Landrum of Rowdy, Kentucky; Carter & Gerri Campbell of Rowdy, Kentucky; David & Phyllis Campbell of Rowdy, Kentucky; Herman & Jean Campbell of Beattyville, Kentucky and brother-in-law; Eugene C. Stevens of Lakeland, Florida. Also numerous nieces and nephews survive. There is a grandchild on the way. She is preceded in death byu her father, Willie; daughter, Ann L. Wigdahl; half-sister, Edna Stevens and brothers, Speed Campbell and Tivis Campbell. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Troy and the AAUW. A volunteer with the election polls and schools. Jewell was very active in her church and with her family. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Eastern Kentucky University and Masters Degree from Wright State University. Jewell was certified as a Ohio School Counselor and Educator and certified in Reality Therapy training and Crisis Prevention Institute training. She formerly taught in the Fairborn Schools and had been a substitute teacher in Miami County. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio will Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson II & Rev. Sandra Huber. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon at First Place Christian Center, 16 West Franklin Street, Troy, Ohio following interment on Saturday for a time of fellowship and sharing. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ann Wigdahl Memorial Fund, Miami East Education Foundation, C/O Troy Foundation, 910 West Main Street, Troy, Ohio 45373.
