Jerry R. Grigsby "Gris", age 70, of Troy, Ohio died at 5:53PM Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born January 29, 1937 in Troy, OH, to the late James and Clara Reed Grigsby. He married Cheryl A. Dafler Grigsby. He is survived by four sons: Jeffrey and Julie of Troy, David and Cathy of Troy, Steve and Regina of Tipp City, OH, and Brian Grigsby and partner John Hawkins of Dayton, Ohio; three brothers: Jack and Kate Grigsby of Piqua, Ohio, Gene Grigsby of Troy and Joe and Ann Grigsby of Arkansas; one sister, Judy and Dan Wentzel of Georgia; eight grandchildren: Jonah, Abby, Scott, Jeff Jessica, Brad Erin, Danielle, Ashley and Dusty; and two great-grandchildren: Madison and Isaac. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Clara and his sister, Betty Doll. Jerry was a 1956 graduate of Troy High School. He was a member of Troy Fish & Game and he enjoyed NASCAR Races, traveling, boating and camping. Jerry was a Lieutenant with the Troy Fire Department, retiring after nearly 30 years of service. He was also a former local plumber for 38 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
