Jerry R. Goode, age 86, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Ohio Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit.  He was born on April 25, 1935 in Saginaw, MI, to the late Edgar and Edna (Dey) Goode.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 48 years: Patricia M. (Burke) Goode; four children: Jennifer (Matthew) Kirk of Piqua, Deborah (Dennis) Whitney of Peoria, AZ, Douglas (Tiffany) Goode of Gordonsville, VA and James (Andi) Trzeciak of Tipp City, OH; one sister-in-law: Helen Goode of Kingsville, OH; six grandchildren: Jessica Boltze, Lillian Kirk, Abigail Kirk, Logan, Riley and Beckett Trzeciak; and two great grandchildren: Sophia and Jair.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Edward Goode and Myron Goode; and two sisters: Jeanne Plantz and infant sister, Leah.

Jerry was a graduate of Kingsville High School.  He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army from 1954-1956.  Jerry was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.  He was employed by the US Postal Service for 17 years as a letter carrier.  Jerry was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds.  He loved his family above all else.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, with Rosary at 6:45 PM.
