Jerry F. Fox, age 97, of Piqua, OH passed away on May 31, 2024 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born on April 12, 1927 in Troy, OH to the late Gerald "Jerry" and Grace (Feeley) Fox.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 35 years: Sarah (Meredith) Fox; children: Cheryl L. (Chris) Peeples of Tipp City and Chuck Fox of Troy; stepchildren: Heidi (Steve) Anderson, Heather Ryan, and Eric (Leann) Collins; grandchildren: Tyler and Lauren Peeples, and Sam (Kendra) Fox; great grandchild: Miles Fox and several step grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister: Joyce Davis.

Jerry was a 1945 graduate of Troy High School and 1952 graduate of Case Institute of Technology, Cleveland, in Engineering. He proudly served in the US Army from 1945-1947. Jerry worked as a salesman for Friden Business Equipment, Business Equipment Co, Price Typewriter, and Salem Office Products, for nearly 50 years. For the last 16 years, Jerry was a greeter at Walmart Piqua.

Jerry attended First United Church of Christ in Troy and was active in the choir. He was a past President and Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis Club of Troy, and a member of Troy Jaycees, and a founding member of Troy Civic Theatre. Jerry was active on stage at the Troy Civic Theatre, Tipp Players Community Theatre, and other theatres in the area. He appeared in hundreds of shows. He was an avid sports fan, especially of The Ohio State University and Cincinnati Reds. In his free time, Jerry loved to watch sports, especially hockey and horse racing and to listen to music.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in Jerry's name can be made to the organization of your choice.
