Jennie M. Ditmer Jennie M. Ditmer, age 96, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 4:00AM on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on November 3, 1912 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Henry Harrison and Anna Brown Brandon. Her husband, R. John Ditmer, preceded her in death in 1981. Survivors include two daughters: Darlene D. Grissom and Charlene R. Walker both of Troy; seven grandchildren: Kim Neil Ingle, John Teresa Walker, George Walker II, Darla Scot Cameron, Terri Grissom, Gaylene Doug Bogart and Rob Michelle Grissom; nineteen great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by former son-in-law, George Walker of Troy. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Ditmer was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers, one son-in-law and one great-grandchild. She had been a resident of Troy since 1933 and formerly attended First United Methodist Church, Troy. She was a charter member and Past President of the Eagles Auxiliary #971 and a charter member and Past President of the Troy Grandmothers Club #369. Mrs. Ditmer was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 1:30PM on Monday, March 2, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Carol Bastin officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Vandalia, Ohio.
