Jeffrey Allen Casteel, age 38, of New Albany, formerly of Troy, OH passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, in New Albany, Ohio.  He was born on September 3, 1980 in Dayton, Ohio to Steven W. and Jerriet R. (Duff) Casteel.

In addition to his parents, Jeffrey is survived by sister: Stephanie (Ethan) Smith of Tipp City; grandmother: Adeline Duff of Ladson, SC; great aunts: Helen Helton of Huber Heights, and Shirley Duff of Booneville, KY;  uncle: Gary (Pat) Duff of Bellbrook; nephews: Garrett and Morgan Smith of Tipp City; and cousins: Charlie Duff of Germantown; Michelle (Joshua) Shawkey of Summerville, SC; Jennifer Duff of Knoxville, TN; Christopher (Christina) Duff of Conroe, TX; John (Erica) Helton of Beavercreek and Matt Helton of Fairborn.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by grandparents: Oma and Walter Casteel, and Carl Duff; and uncle: James Duff.

Jeffrey was a graduate of both Troy High School, class of 1999 and Wright State University.  He was employed by JP Morgan Chase & Co., Columbus.   Jeffrey was an avid sports fan, played rugby and football, and loved all his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11AM at First Presbyterian Church, Troy with Rev. Dr. Frank T. Rupnik III.   Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept 11, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
