Jeannine M. Borton, age 94, of Troy, OH passed away on August 22, 2025 at her residence. She was born on June 9, 1931 in Glendale, OH to the late Milton C. and Dorothy H. (Holaday) Maas.

She is survived by her sons: James Michael (Phung) Borton of Palatka, FL and Christopher David (Kara) Borton of Clackamas, OR; daughters: April (Warren) Hawkins of Troy, Marilyn Kelly of Troy and Carolyn Martin of Beavercreek; sister: Carolyn Maggard of Troy; 24 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children's father and the love of her life: James L. Borton; daughter: Denise R. Borton; brothers: Harvey and Bradley Maas; grandson: Harley Ludwig; great grandson: Aaron Campbell; great great granddaughter: Ka'Mileigh Ludwig; son-in-law: Byron Martin and lifetime friend: Betty Nickell.

Jeannine attended Miami University and Wright State University. She served as a librarian with Troy-Miami County Public Library and branch manager in Pleasant Hill for 25 years. She retired at 70 and continued to substitute for ten years, retiring again at 80.

She was a longtime member of Tipp City Methodist Church serving as a Stephen Minister and a member of the Dorcas Circle. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #307, Tipp City serving twice as worthy matron.

Music was a big part of her life. She loved reading, gardening and traveling to new places. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were more precious to her than diamonds.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 12:45 PM on Saturday with Eastern Star services at 12:45 PM.
