Jeanette (Smith) Dieringer, age 86, formerly of Troy, OH and more recently of Greenville passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Greenville Brethren Home.  She was born on February 26, 1931 in Chicago, IL to the late Howard A. and Pauline (Trugerschultz) Smith.  She was married to Rev. Charles E. Dieringer for almost 36 years and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1991.

Jeanette is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: David and Tina Dieringer of Troy; daughter and son-in-law: Delane and Todd Sloan of West Milton; brother: John W. Smith of Florida; sister: Delane Weaver of Huntington, IN and grandchildren: Travis Sloan, Emily Sloan and Delane Dieringer.

Jeanette was a member of the First United Church of Christ and the Troy Church of the Brethren.  She served as a church organist for many years.

Jeanette was a secretary with the Miami County Billy Graham Crusade For Christ.  She was later employed as a receptionist with Hobart Brothers and then prior to retirement she was a receptionist with RT Industries.

Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October, 21,2017 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 9100 N. Main St., Dayton, OH with the Rev. Stephen Gettinger officiating.  Private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Friday at Baird Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association, P.O.
