Jean Amber May Jean Amber May age 90, formerly of Troy, now residing at Covington Care Center, Covington, OH. Died Saturday, April 25, 2009. She was born December 13, 1918 in Xenia, Ohio the daughter of Jesse and Frances Neuman Bice. Survivers include her two daughters, Becky Phil Smith of Columbus, Ohio and Suzanne Royer of Troy, Ohio. Grandchildren Alexander, Adam, Adrienne Smith; Andy Arnold, Lisa Burk, Jessica McCoy and Gretchen Schmitmeyer. Great Grandchildren include Keili McCoy, Julian McCoy, Nicholas Burk, Andrew Burk, Ian, Oliver and Owen Schmitmeyer and Aubrey Arnold. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Robert May; one sister, Ruby Keifer and one brother Roland Bice. She was a graduate of Troy High School and was a member of the first class at Heywood Elementary School. Member of the First Lutheran Church in Troy where she served as former church council and in Circles and committees of the church. Member of and very active in the local PERS group. Former Girl Scout Troop leader, local Bridge Clubs and former volunteer at Hayner Cultural Center, Troy, OH. She was formerly employed with McConnell Insurance Agency; Roediger Realty Co. and City of Troy Tax Dept. Private Family Funeral Services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH.
