Jean L. (Kessler) Ridenour Evenden, age 95, of Troy, OH passed away on June 15, 2023 at Vancrest of New Carlisle, OH.  She was born on May 13, 1928 in  New Washington, OH to the late J. Oscar and Iva (Vorndran) Kessler.

She is survived by her children: Kenneth (Ann) Ridenour of Dayton; Juanita (Juan) Rivera of McAllen, TX, John Ridenour of Pleasant Hill, James Ridenour of Mission, TX, Sara-Sally (Alan) Dunavent of Troy, Patrick Ridenour of Dayton and daughter-in-law: Mary Ann Ridenour of Greenville; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Clarence Ridenour; second husband: Melvin Evenden; son: Timothy Ridenour and four siblings: Robert Kessler, Ruth (Ike) Thacker, Rebecca Snay and Yvonne Ramage.

Jean was a graduate of New Washington High School and the Warner's Cosmetology School in Toledo.  She was formerly employed as a beautician, bus driver with Troy City Schools and Riverside School, Pauline's Tea Room, St. Patrick's Religious Education Office and retired from the Riverside School business office.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy Senior Citizens, American Legion Post #43 Auxiliary, AmVets Post #88 Auxiliary and Troy Elks Lodge.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, OH with Fr. James Duell officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Vandalia, OH.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
