Jean T. Blackmore Jean T. Blackmore, 82, of Troy, OH, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at her residence following a brief illness. She was born October 10, 1924, in Troy, OH, to the late William and Margaret Conrad Tecklenburg. She was married to Robert E. Blackmore for 62 years and he resides in Troy. In addition to her husband, her survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Sharon Blackmore, Steve Blackmore and David and Ruthan Blackmore all of Troy, OH; daughters and son-in-law: Rita and Paul West of Hinsdale, Ill, and Jane Hum of Troy, OH; brother, Norbert Tecklenburg of Troy, OH; grandchildren: Stephanie Hum of Lake of Augusta, GA, Laura Hum of Columbus, OH, Meredith, Jared , Bradley, Brian and Tom Blackmore all of Troy, OH, Kevin West of Chicago, Ill and David West of New York City. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Ann Kraus Blackmore in 2004. She was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1942. She was an active person all her life as a volunteer and participating member of many groups and clubs. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Wednesday Morning Mother's Group, Shelter the Children, and the Republican Ladies Club. She was a Miami County Republican Chairperson, Concord Township Trustee for twelve years, a volunteer at Brukner Nature Center, member of the Miami County Facilities Review Board, past member of St. Patrick Parish Council, and she taught Saturday Morning Religious Classes at St. Patrick's. She loved living on the farm watching things grow, planting new trees, tending to her flower beds and helping her kids with their horses, cats and dogs. She also loved hearing about and participating in the lives of her grandchildren. She was a homemaker active in politics and also worked as a building lot developer. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM Friday, June 1, 2007 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, OH, with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 5-8PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
