Jean Alexander, 70, died at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy on Wednesday, July 24, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joseph L. Alexander. She is also survived by sons and daughters-in-law, David and Anna Alexander and Jim and Lisa Alexander; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Jim Cruea, Janet and Greg Parish and Ann and Charles Boughner; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Tom Willhoff, Barbara and Bill Gilbertson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Betty Maher, Ray and Kay Maher; sister-in-law, Patsy Maher; ten grandchildren, Tom and Katie Alexander; Matthew, Michael and Elizabeth Alexander; Jena, Alex and Austin Parish; Conolly and Magdaline Boughner. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Edna Schwendeman Maher; and one brother, Robert Maher. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio and St. Elizabeth Nurses Alumni Association, Dayton; was a 1950 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and 1953 graduate of St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing, Dayton, Ohio Mrs. Alexander retired from Upper Valley Medical Center after 28 years of nursing with Dettmer Hospital. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday, July 26 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy; Ohio with a Rosary Service at 7:30PM Friday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Robert Monnin will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio at 10:00AM, Saturday, July 27, 2002.
