Jean E. Adkins, age 87, of Troy, OH passed away on January 18, 2023, at the Miami County Hospice Inpatient Unit.  She was born on March 12, 1935 in Piqua, OH to the late Robert E. and Maxine I. (Huffman) Silvers.

Jean is survived by her children: Scott Sales and Kathy Barker (Danny) Davidson, both of Troy; step children: Debra Baker, Chuck Adkins, Jack (Sherry) Adkins, and Doug Adkins; siblings: James (Pat) Silvers, Joan Broyles, and Lois Ann (Butch) Albaugh; grandchildren: Alisha (Aaron) Belt, and Kyle Barker; great grandchildren: Kenny Rubin, Saddie Barker, Aaron Belt, and Lane Belt; and great great grandchildren: Landon, Braxton, Cylas, Saylor, Kamden, Charlotte, and Brynlee.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Okie Adkins and brother: Edward Silvers.

Jean was a 1953 graduate of Brown High School where she was crowned Homecoming Queen and a varsity cheerleader.  She was associated with Friendship Baptist Church in Piqua. Jean retired from the Piqua Paper Box Factory.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with Rev. Tina Fox officiating. Visitation will be held from 12PM – 2PM prior to the service.   Burial will be at Fletcher Cemetery.
