Jason Artz, age 53, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on August 23, 1971, in Troy, to Jerry and Cathy (Bazzel) Artz.

In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his wife of 10 years: Ronda (Baker) Artz; siblings: Emily (Brad) Ray and Matthew Artz, both of Troy; one aunt: Janis Artz; five uncles: Chester, Mike, Steve, Scott and Tom; many cousins; dearest friend and fishing buddy: Carlon; fur baby: Guci; and supportive and loving neighbors.  He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents: Chuck and Joann Hufford; paternal grandparents: Ray and Betty Artz; uncle: Ken Artz; and aunt: Vicki Hufford.

Jason was a 1989 graduate of Troy High School.  He was a 27-year employee of Troy Daily News.  Jason came to know the Lord at Living Word Church in Vandalia.

A celebration of his life and love of sports, especially Michigan, will be held at his parents' house on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 3:30 PM during the Michigan game.  Please wear your Michigan gear.
