Janice May Shipp Janice May Shipp, 78, of Troy, Ohio passed away at 10:40PM on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He she was born February 18, 1929 in New Lebanon, Ohio, to the late Lowell Penney and Blanche Adams Denney. She is survived by her daughters: Mrs. James Tana Arnett of Troy and Mrs. Michael Joan Higgins of Troy; sister, Wanda Lowell Voris of Barefoot Bay, FL; four grandchildren: Chad Arnett, Lisa Dawson, Jenny Brueckman and Mark Higgins; and seven great-grandchildren: Hailey, Haidyn, Heath, Marshall, Alannah, Zack and Steven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Blanche, stepfather, Bud Denney, and former spouse, James M. Shipp in 1988. She belonged to a local card club for over 50 years and was very talented at needlework. Mrs. Shipp was formerly employed with Dare Aviation in Troy and NCR in San Diego, CA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Jack Chaulk officiating. Interment will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio.
