Janice Dolores (Bumbalough) Marler, age 84, of Troy, OH passed away on September 15, 2023 at the Upper Valley Medical Center.  She was born on March 2, 1939 in Pleasant Hill, TN to the late Johnnie N. and Orthy (Whittenburg) Bumbalough.

She is survived by her children: Vicki Sue King of Cincinnati, Sandy Jean Hall of Troy and Patty Gillette of Troy; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Marler; son: Richard Wayne Smith and sister: Norma Kauffenburger.

She was a member of Mid County Church of Christ, Troy.  She enjoyed painting, singing and especially known for her writing of poetry and her enjoyment of telling jokes to anyone.

A Memorial Service will be held September 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mid County Church of Christ, Troy.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or ARC of Miami County.
