IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janet M.
(Talmage) Pour
March 28, 1935 – June 2, 2025
Janet M. (Talmage) Pour recently of Troy, Ohio passed away on June 2, 2025 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on March 28, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Earll and Alma (Sacksteder) Talmage.
Janet is survived by her children: Cathy Bumgarner of Idaho Falls, ID; Chris (Maria) Pour of Cincinnati and Jenny LeDoux of Lafayette, LA; five grandchildren: Tom Solokis, Michelle (Keegan Johnson) Fletcher, Evan Pour, Abbey Pour and Caroline Pour; a great grandchild: Rosie Lambert and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse of 68 years: James (Jim) R. Pour, and brothers: Marvin and James Talmage.
Janet was a 1953 graduate of Julienne High School and attended the University of Dayton until she became a full-time mother of 3 children. She was very creative and detailed in everything she did, including designing their house in Troy, and was a talented, self-taught painter, filling the walls of her family and friends. She was known for her sweet nature (and sweet tooth), especially by all of her caregivers. Janet and her husband, Jim, loved playing cards with their many friends, spending time on their porch reading books (and spoiling their cats!), and many "road trips" to one of their favorite places…Maid-Rite and the Greenville Park. But her happiest moments were always the time spent with her family and dear friends. She was also a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy.
A mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church will be held on July 5, 2025 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Baird Funeral Home from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. Interment to follow Mass in Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.
