Jane Munsterman Cornell Jane Munsterman Cornell, age 76, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 10:36PM Monday, March 3, 2008, at the Koester Pavilion in Troy. She was born in St. Louis, MO, on September 18, 1931 to the late F. A. and Katherine Munsterman of Jerseyville, IL. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by a brother, John Robert Munsterman and a daughter, Carol Ann Cornell. Jane is survived by her husband, Robert S. Cornell; two sons, Rob and wife Sandy of Kettering and William and wife, Katie, of Arden, NC; one daughter, Mary Steinle of Las Vegas, NV; two grandsons, Kyle and Christopher Steinle of Las Vegas, NV; and one granddaughter, Katherine Ann Cornell of Arden, NC. Jane is also survived by two brothers, F. Dwight Munsterman of Garland, TX and Philip Munsterman of Webster Grove, MO and one sister, Marilyn Munsterman of Denver, CO. Jane graduated from Jerseyville High School in 1949 and the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana in 1953. At the university, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. While a student at the university, she met her husband, Robert, and they were married June 12, 1954. Jane was active in bridge clubs, garden clubs and women's clubs; everything from the Jaycettes to the DAR. She enjoyed many crafts, including: sewing, knitting, needlepoint, weaving and ceramics. When her children were grown, Jane worked as a realtor for ten years. Later, she became a secretary for the United Way in Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, March 8, 2008, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Jerseyville, Ill., with burial to follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Jerseyville. Friends may call from 5-7PM Thursday, March 6, 2008, with prayer service at 7PM at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio and 10-11AM Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Crawford Funeral Home, Jerseyville, Ill.
