James Thompson, age 77, passed away on May 9, 2022 at the Englewood Health and Rehab.  He was born on June 9, 1944 in Portsmouth, OH to the late James Thompson and Lula Bernice (Shover) Koogler.

James was survived by his children: Mark (Shawna) Thompson; Kimberly (Gary) Seitz and Jamie (Donna) Thompson; grandchildren: Michael, Brandon and James Jr.; great grandchildren:  Layla and Zona and a number of other living relatives and close friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years: Lucille Carmelita (Medina) Thompson and two grandchildren: Matthew and Markie.

James served his country in the US Army.  He was a road superintendent for Jefferson Township.  He was an extremely hard worker. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many.

Private services and burial will be held through Baird Funeral Home.
