James Edward Swearingin, age 84, of Troy, Ohio died Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Koester Pavilion, Troy, Ohio. He was born May 25, 1925 in Cookesville, Tennessee to the late James William and Martha Ann Swearingin. He was married to his wife of 65 years, Dorothy M. Miller Swearingin who survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cheryl Swearingin of Troy, Ohio and daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Tony Montjoy of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother. He was a member of the Nashville United Church of Christ. He was a farmer and meat cutter and formerly employed with Dinner Bell Meat Packing Company. Funeral service will be held 12noon Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with the Pastor Lynn Labs officiating.
