James C. Sirch James C. Sirch, age 82, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 2:45AM on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, after a brief illness. He was born May 11, 1925 in Bradford, Ohio, to the late Harley and Viola Wion Sirch. His wife of 51 years, Patricia A. Hawn Sirch of Troy, survives. Mr. Sirch is also survived by three sons: Patrick Tamara Sirch, Tracy Lee Sherry Sirch and Tyrone Steven Sirch all of Troy; two sisters: Jeanette Miller of Troy and Geneva Werst of Piqua, Ohio; six grandchildren: Tom Sirch, Samantha Boehringer, Kyle Sirch, Crissy Sirch, Dustin Sirch and Katie Sirch; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sirch was preceded in death by one son, Todd Eric Sirch; three brothers: Harley, George and Robert Sirch; and three sisters: Emma Free, Harriett Swallow and Judy Sirch. He attended Bradford Schools and was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy; AmVets; and the Troy Fish & Game Club. He was also a US Army WWII Veteran. He worked at REA Express in Troy before moving to IVEX Corp., Troy, where he retired in 1987 after 20 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Al Bastin officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, with VFW Memorial Honor Guard Services. Friends may call from 6-9PM Sunday at the funeral home.
