Obituary

James Dwaine Miller, age 86, of Troy, OH passed away on October 26, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on December 25, 1936 in Troy to the late Henry M. and Bertha E. (Iddings) Miller.

He is survived by his four children: Sharrie (Ron) King of Troy, Richard (Karen) Miller of Casstown, Tamara (James) Swiger of Piqua and Rusty (Debra) Miller of Troy; eight grandchildren: Brooks Kelley, Keagan Miller, Abbey Waldren, Cody Miller, Danielle Swiger, Derek Swiger, Alexis Carver and Austin Miller and thirteen great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years of marriage: Frances D. (Potter) Miller; son: Danny Miller and grandchildren: Willie Miller and Brittany Swiger.

Jim was a 1954 graduate of Troy High School.  He was a truck driver with United Scrap Lead for over 22 years and Morrow Trucking in Fletcher until his retirement.   He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Chris Heiss officiating.  Interment will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday and 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
