James D. Lease, age 85, of Troy passed away on January 18, 2024 at Koester Pavilion, Troy.  He was born on July 25, 1938 in Piqua to the late John and Berndetta (Black) Lease.

He is survived by his two children: Renee DeVere and Sean Lease; partner: Rebecca Lu; one grandchild: Jordan Jones; three great grandchildren: Olivia, Cole and Cameron; sister: Sandy Geiger; brother-in-law: Lee Geiger; and niece: Debbie Shough.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Betty Clawson and Gloria Boswell.

He served in the US Army as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne.   James worked at BF Goodrich as an Electronic Specialist for 33 years, and earned his associates degree in electronics from ITT Technical Institute.
