James Douglas Kiser Sr., age 77, of Celina, OH passed away on March 25, 2025 in Columbus, OH.  He was born on July 10, 1947 in Troy, OH to the late Ralph Ray and Edna Mae (Chronabery) Kiser Sr.

He is survived by his children: James Douglas Kiser Jr. of Davenport, FL, Robert Ira Kiser of Piqua, OH, Shawn Michael Kiser of Columbus, OH and Amber Lee Leffel of New Knoxville, OH; two grandchildren: Kylie Nieves and James Leffel; and three great grandchildren: Mateo, Sophia and Elijah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Pete and Richard; and five sisters: Pauline, Virginia, Patricia, Barbara and Judy.

James proudly served his country as a member of the US Army.  He was a member of the Troy American Legion Post 49.  James was a 1965 graudate of Troy High School.  He was a retired lineman after 33 years of service with Verizon (General Telephone).

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH.
