James Joseph "Joe" Wagner, age 77, of Troy, OH passed away on September 8, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on November 14, 1943 in Troy to the late James Lincoln Wagner and Elsie (Englehart) Wagner.

Joe is survived by his daughters and son-in-law:  Erin and Bernard Dove of Raeford, NC and Kelley Church of Houston, OH; sister: Margaret Ann Wagner of Pleasant Hill, OH; brother and sister-in-law: David and Karen Wagner of Troy, OH; nine grandchildren: Maiyha, Jaiylin, Gabriel, Caiyden, Alexander, Camden, Payton, Ava and Quinton and special friend: Sandra Rosen of Troy.

Joe was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Urbana University and Miami University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.  Joe was a local architect.  He attended Ginghamsburg Church and was a former member of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce; volunteer with the Troy Strawberry Festival and a former Troy City School Board member.  Joe had a lifelong passion for the Empire State Building which he often shared with family and friends.  He had a special place in his heart for K's, from working there as a teen to hanging out there as an adult.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 12:00-2:00PM on September 24, 2021, at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH.  A private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
