James Lee Jacomet, age 75, of Troy, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.  He was born on March 23, 1946 in Troy to the late Robert G. and Irene (Sharits) Jacomet.

James is survived by one son: Joshua Jacomet of VA; three siblings: Robert E. Jacomet, Ralph E. Jacomet and Janet Jo Jones, all of Troy; and five grandchildren: George Byrnes, Holley Byrnes, Aiden, Austin and Logan Jacomet.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis Ann Jacomet.

James was employed by the Social Security Administration for 30 years.  He was later employed as a grower at both Chaney's Nursery and Andy's Garden Center.  James was a 1964 graduate of Troy High School.  He later received his associates degree Sinclair College and then his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University.  James was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Dayton and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.  He was an avid Ohio State fan.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on February 11, 2022 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Dayton.  Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on February 10, 2022 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
