IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Alan
Fraley
January 20, 2009 – August 23, 2024
James Alan Fraley went home to be with Jesus on August 23, 2024. He was 15 years old. Born January 20, 2009, he was the precious son of Guy and Amy Fraley, and the 4th of their 10 children.
James suffered a traumatic brain injury during birth at the hands of a careless physician. He joined the Fraley family when he was 6 weeks old. Although his medical prognosis was deemed catastrophic, and the family was told his time would be very short, only God knew the length of days ordained for him this side of Heaven. With a tenacious will to live through what seemed like unending, impossible health challenges, his family began to believe he simply lived on love. James never uttered a single word for 15 years, but he left an indelible mark on the lives and hearts of everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.
James is survived by his parents, Guy Fraley and Amy (Beres) Fraley; his siblings, Laura Beth Fraley Hurst (Joseph), Jason Fraley (Alyssa), Austin, Rachel, Arianna, Ella, Autumn, and Journey, along with his niece, Charlotte Hurst. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Char Fraley and his maternal grandparents, Larry and Linda Beres, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. His biological mother Amber, and her family have also loved and missed him, holding him in their hearts.
A celebration of James' life will be held on Sunday, September 1st at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1879 Old Staunton Road, Troy, Ohio 45373. Calling hours will be held from 2:30pm to 4:30 pm with a short service to follow at 5:00.
