JAMES B. FAVORITE

JAMES B. FAVORITE, age 81, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy.  He was born on October 24, 1933 in Troy, Ohio to the late Leonard and Launa (Ford) Favorite. He married Wanda Cromes and they shared 59 years of marriage and she survives.

James is survived by two sons: Randy Favorite of Fayetteville, TN and James Dean (Jennifer) Favorite of Paris, KY; two daughters: Julie (Bob) Pogue of Troy and Mary Yingst of Covington; one sister: Doris Brown of Euless, TX; three brothers: Larry Favorite of Fletcher, Bill Favorite of Pleasant Hill, and Mark Favorite of Troy; eight grandchildren: Michele, Amy, Zach, Sam, Vicky, Cortney, Megan, and Macy; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a sister: Nancy Favorite and a brother: Gaylord Favorite.

James was a graduate of Newton High School in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Troy and attended the Central Baptist Church in Piqua. He was a lifetime member of the Quarter Horse Association and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Fish and Game. James was a longtime area farmer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Randy Satchwell officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
