James E. Miller, 66, of Troy, Ohio died on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton after a brief illness. He was born on December 18, 1939 in McDaniels Crossroads, Ohio to the late James H. and Lena I. Lambert Miller. He is survived by his companion, Anne Clark of Troy, OH; brothers and sisters-in-law; Thomas and Carolyn Miller of Fleetwood, NC; Vernon L. and Sue Miller of Troy, OH; and Jerry and Linda Miller of Tipp City, OH. He was a US Marine Veteran; member of the Vandalia Christian Tabernacle; BMW Motorcycles Owner Association; and the Ohio Fireman & Policeman Retirees Association. He was a graduate of Christiansburg Jackson High School. He retired from Troy Fire Department in 1992 after 24 years of service. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 10:30am at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with Rev. John Ward officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. There will be honor guard at the cemetery. Friends may call on the family, Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from 6-9PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
