James W. Dixon, 90, of Troy, Ohio died on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the Koester Pavilion, Troy, Ohio. Mr. Dixon was born on October 21, 1915 in Bear Creek, Ohio to the late Warren and MayBlevins Dixon. He is survived by one daughter, Karen Angel of Troy, Ohio; two brothers, Joseph Dixon of Tipp City, Ohio; William Dixon of Otway, Ohio; sister, Betty Bloomer of Friendship, Ohio; three grandchildren, Tony Angel of Dayton, Ohio; Rick Angel of Troy, Ohio; Edward Trudy Angel of Troy, Ohio and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Benjamin and for sisters, Marcia Cronin; Gladys McNutt; Helen Crawford and Norma Perry. He attended Troy Baptist Temple and was a veteran of the US Army serving during WW II. He retired from Delphi of Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with Pastor Rick Arrowood officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery, Friendship, Ohio with a 2:30pm graveside service. Veteran Service Honors to be held at the cemetery.
