James F. Currier, 83, of Troy, Ohio died on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. He was born on February 27, 1922 in Kewanee, Illinois to the late James A. and Albertina Doy Currier. He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Ann Walker Currier, passing in 1981. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws; James D. & Rebecca Currier of Whitehall, ILL; William J. & Diana Currier of Piqua, OH; Kenneth Currier of Lancaster, OH and Dennis and Jerri Currier of Springfield, OH; nine grandchildren, Mark; Curtis; Jamie; Krystle; Bradley; Sarah; Russel; Justin and Seth and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife. He was a US Army Veteran serving during WWII; and a lifetime member of VFW in Troy, Ohio. He was a linesman for Western Union for 20+ years and 10 years with the City of Troy, retiring in 1984. There will be a graveside service on Monday, June 6, 2005 at the Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.
