James G. Bergman, Sr., age 68 of Piqua, Ohio died Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born of the late, Albert C. and Margaret Rose Schub Bergman. He was married to Helen E. Huff on December 22, 1956 and she preceded him in death on March 8 of this year. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James G. and Rhonda Bergman, Jr. of Troy; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley K. and Mark Herron of Piqua and Peggy and Randy Wyerick of Celina; brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Joyce Bergman of Dayton; grandchildren, Zach Bergman, Anthony Fast, Amber Fast, Chad and his wife, Briana Fast, Amanda Herron, and Travis Herron; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Skiler, and Trevor Fast. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters and five brothers. A volunteer with the American Red Cross and formerly with FISH and the Crisis Hotline, he was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, the Royal Rangers and was a US Army Reserves member. He was a former employee with the City of Troy and owned and operated Jim's Lawn and Mower Service.
