JAMES A. BENSON, age 49, of Troy, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017.  He was born on January 2, 1968 in Troy. He is survived by his father and step-mom Arthur H.  Benson, Jr. and Diana Benson of Tipp City and mother and step-father Ruth Benson Dickerson and Ed Dickerson of Troy.

In addition to his parents, James is survived by two children: Alicia Benson of Troy and Christopher Benson of Tipp City; sister: Debbie (Paul) Bracci of Fairborn; special friend: Wanda and Kaitlin Harmon of Sidney; step brothers and sisters: Brian (Lori) Dickerson of Troy, Doug Baker of Piqua, Scott Baker of Sidney and Matt Baker of Florida; grandchildren Arya Wheeler and Lucas Benson; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a step sister: Shelly Coates.

James was employed at ARC Abrasives in Troy

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Baird Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Warren officiating.  Friends may call from 3:00 – 6:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
