Jack L. Godwin Jack L. Godwin, 70, of Troy, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born to Harry Lewis and Mary Bell Shough in Bellefontaine, Ohio on August 16, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mary Godwin; step-dad, Jim Spry; sister, Judy Godwin and one son, Rick Godwin. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dorothy Casey Godwin; step-mom, Mary Godwin of Marysville, Ohio; sisters, Iris Godwin and Margaret Johnson of Sidney and Evelyn Rudin of Marysville, Ohio; brothers, Dave Patty Godwin and Floyd Cleo Godwin all of Marysville, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Heather Knoth of Yellow Springs, Ohio; children: Charles Potter, Jr. Eileen, Jack "Spike" Godwin, Jr. Mary, Jeff Cathy Godwin, Judie Godwin and Jody Rick Kennedy all of Troy; grandchildren: Brandi Godwin Nulp, Rachel Larry Lawrence, Ricky Kelsey Godwin all of Troy, Corey Godwin of South Carolina, Kyle Godwin of Fairborn, Ohio, Nathan Godwin of Troy, Ryan Godwin of Columbus, Ohio, Charles "C.J." Potter, Jr., Mackenzie Potter, Kirstie Kennedy, Justin Godwin, Brittney Godwin, Jordan Godwin, Alex Godwin, Casie Kennedy, Ashley and Megan Kellems and Jackson and Addyson Godwin all of Troy; great-grandchildren: Hayden and Brody Godwin, Haley Nulp, Devin, Aaron and Khalia Lawrence, Landon and Justin Hale, Chase Kellems and Novalee Huber all of Troy; as well as many cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends. Jack worked and retired from Barrett Paving in 2002. He loved his family, racing and country music. He will be sadly missed by all of those who loved him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
